On January 16, 2025, Mr. Amri Bukhairi Bakhtiar, Director of CIMT, met with Mr. Toh Heng Guan, Secretary-General of the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC), at their office in Kuala Lumpur. The meeting explored potential collaborations aimed at bolstering sustainable development initiatives in the rubber industry.

As a a major contributor to the global rubber industry, IMT-GT has been fostering cooperation for rubber industry development. The 2022 MOU on IMT-GT Rubber Cities and Rubber Industry Cooperation has laid the groundwork for encouraging knowledge-sharing, capacity-building, and technology transfer among member countries.
